I DID IT!

I successfully posted something on our blog! I really am excited. So now I am going to try to add a picture. Today I had my hair cut. My stylist decided to undertake the huge task of blowing out my very curly hair. So I will attempt to add a picture of me with straightened hair.

Testing, testing

Okay, that last post was not my doing. Davis was showing me how I would "hypothetically" add a post to our family blog since everybody who's anybody is blogging now (not really, but you get the idea). I was sitting next to him on our couch while he did his computer magic on his new laptop, and we found it entertaining so he posted it. I don't have a myspace page and I haven't given in to the facebook craze (although my girl, Tanya, has tried unsuccessfully to persuade me), but I do enjoy reading a blog or two, so why shouldn't I write random thoughts and send them out into blogdom? Well, we'll see if I can even successfully get this to post before I advance into a career of blogging (or maybe blogging will be just a small side hobby).

Four+ Years Later...

When last we left this blog, we had just determined that we were expecting a girl. Her due date, according to the blog post, was roughly January 16, 2004. Well, in fact, Marguerite (Maggie) Rose Hipps was born on January 15, 2004, and she's been growing non-stop ever since. She has just turned 4 years old and, as is evident by the picture, she has become a beautiful pink butterfly. In all seriousness, she is the most intelligent 4-year-old you ever met, she has a wonderfully vivacious personality, and she is almost painfully adorable. We will try to update her progress, as well as that of her nearly 6-year-old brother, Daniel, well before we let another 4 years pass. More to come...
